The weather sucks

Counting the days, it’s been my fourth day of suffering from colds. You all know the feeling of headache, nasal congestion, sore throat, impaired taste, sneezing and the very tiresome cough at night rolled into one. The weather is really picking on me these days and I think to everyone.

It’s been like this for almost three weeks now. The weather shifts drastically. In the morning you can already feel the scorching heat of the sun then suddenly the sky gets darker and the rain follows. Unfortunately, the P 100 umbrella I bought at SM City Mall only lasted a couple of days. There were times I went home wet after a very hot humid day.

Rainy days really suck.

And it doesn’t only compromises your health. About three weeks ago, many of us were stranded because of the heavy rain. Many public utility jeepneys were caught in the middle of the flood along Davao City’s major streets. Traffic jam was everywhere. I saw people walking in the knee-high water.

Below are some snapshots of how Davao City looks like when it rains . Photos are taken from http://davaotoday.com/2008/06/20/flood-in-the-city.
